Optional Preparation
Preparation can help maximize healing potential. There is no wrong way since this work will always meet you where you are, however, please consider the following, as best as feasible:
How to dress: wear loose, non-restrictive clothing and refrain from wearing scents, electronics or metals. Consider having layers to adjust for body temp.
Group meditation/journey circles: It’s a good idea to bring comfort items such as: eye covering, water bottle, journal, totems/crystals, pillow, blanket, etc. Some prefer to bring their own yoga mat as well.
Mindfully choose whether to have an intention, several or none.
Eat cleanly & lightly the day of the session.
Capture your thoughts on paper before sleep and upon waking for several days prior and afterwards.
Avoid the following a few days before & after the session: alcohol, unprescribed drugs, salt, sugar, caffeine, red meat, pork, fried foods, junk food, sexual activity (including solo,) social media, the news, negative people, negative situations, and violent or disturbing entertainment. During that same period, drink 2 extra glasses of water/day, journal and generally be gentle with yourself.
Note: As you re-enter the 3D world post-session, be aware that sometimes we can be a little invisible to others. Please take extra care while crossing streets and/or driving to ensure that others see you before entering intersections, etc.
Illumination Sessions
An Illumination starts by identifying what is to be released or shift, along with your selection of a Kuya (medicine stone.) Throughout the session, you'll use your breath to release and shift into the Kuya, which will start in your dominant hand and then move to a chakra for the remainder of the process. As we near the end, I will gently remove and clear the Kuya, close the energy field, and spray rose water before you leave. You may also have privacy to spray rose water on directly your main chakras.
Incorporation of Palo Santo, sage, spirit water, sound and other offerings is also possible.
Note that throughout the process, I may offer prompts or guidance, reposition your hands, etc. These are all invitations I hope you'll welcome, but they’re not directives. There’s no obligation to accept these invitations. There’s no wrong way and you’re always in charge.
Please remember that you can choose to end any session at any time for any reason or no reason (as can I.) However, firstly consider that an opportunity to heal on a deeper level might be presenting itself. Please ask for coaching when needed.
